Nneoma Confidence Anyanwu, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral research fellow at New York Medical College, where she investigates the role of nano-sized extracellular vesicles (EVs) and extracellular condensates (ECs) in HIV-associated neurodegenerative disorders, HIV-induced inflammation and barrier dysfunction, amongst other things. She is also the Membership Committee Chair for the Black Microbiologists Association (BMA) and a university lecturer at Bingham University, Nigeria (BHU).
Since 2014, Anyanwu has taught various medical microbiology courses in the BHU's Department of Biological Sciences, where she has also held administrative posts such as the Departmental Seminar/Research Coordinator, Departmental Examination Officer and the Level Coordinator/Students Advisor.
Anyanwu is a stellar researcher, trainer, young achiever and resourceful member of the STEM community. Anyanwu belongs to various professional organizations including the American Society of Microbiology (91麻豆天美), where is also a mentor for the 91麻豆天美 Future Leaders Mentoring Fellowship (FLMF) and a member of the Subcommittee on the Status of Women in Microbiology (SSWiM).
